Chris Currell Helps Raise Money for Charity Gala Event

Last night’s Help for Heroes charity event, organised by Currell’s property developer clients The Aitch Group, was a tremendous success – raising over £85,000 for charity.

Our own Chris Currell, a good friend of Aitch Group’s CEO Henry Smith, was only too happy to help raise this money, stepping up as the charity auctioneer.

All money raised is going to support the Rifles Regimental Trust: Care for Casualties Appeal and The Warrior Programme. The Rifles Regiment have lost a number of personnel in the recent fighting in Afghanistan. The Care for Casualties Appeal helps the loved ones left behind from these tragic deaths, and assists the families of those left wounded; the Warrior Programme helps ex servicemen and women overcome the psychological scars of facing combat.

At the event, help in Chigwell Police Grounds, each table of ten enjoyed a champagne and canapé reception, served with a bugle fanfare by the Rifles regimental band and arms display by the Rifles 4. A three course meal, with a signature dish created for the event by Antony Worrall Thompson, was then enjoyed. Following the auction, there were special performances by Adrian Anderson (ex Rifleman who went through the Warrior Programme and has now released a single) and much-coveted Bootleg Beatles.
